Jo Millett is an artist working in film, video, sound and installation. Observation and inquiry are central to her work, which is concerned with the relationship between what is represented and what is perceived. Her single screen work has been shown widely in UK and abroad and her video and sound installations have shown in Liverpool, London, Yorkshire Dales, East Riding, Harrogate and Hull. In 2007 she was Artist in Residence at Knaresborough Castle with follow on show at Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate in Feb 2008. She also works on projects which involve working with other artists and the public, such as [drift] - large scale video projection project, which she was artist-mentor for (with Chrysalis Arts and Create, 2005) and is also a member of Resound, which created urban oral history project “Soundwalks”, an audio soundwalks, exhibition and publication (2006/7).
